Clockwise From Left, Zara OTK High Heel Boots ($99) // Sole Society Kaiyla Boot ($90) // Nine West Vena Boot ($79) // Bandolino Cayndace Buckle Boot ($98) // Sole Society Kelsa Boot ($89)
With three months left in boot season, now is a great time to grab a pair of boots for the rest of this season and next year. Whether you want a simple riding boot, a pair of casual ankle boots or a pair of spicy over-the-knee boots, you can find a great pair for under-$100.
Ankle Boots. Casual ankle boots are all the rage for weekends or casual Fridays. I love both pair of the Sole Society boots in the photo. The leather boots can do double duty for work or play, and the suede boots would look incredible with jeans.
I also found these Dolce Vita Jaxen boots on sale at Nordstrom for $65. They have four colors to choose from, but some sizes are not available. I also like these suede wedge boots from Forever21 that come in at $33. And if you want something for the office, these high heeled Dolly boots from Aldo are also under-$50.
Flat Riding Boots. The Nine West boots above are the epitome of sleek and simple. No frills, no buckles, just a gorgeous boot with good style. Or you can choose the Bandolino boot for something with just the right amount of stylish hardware.
These BCBGeneration Miriam boots have a cool rumpled leather and come in cognac or black. And if you’re a Target shopper, these Merona boots with elastic backs are really cute for $40. Have wide calves? These Tommie boots from Unisa come in chocolate brown and black with chic buckle embellishments.
Over-The-Knee Boots. If you’re looking for a trendier, more unique boot, consider a pair of OTK boots. This pair from Zara would be perfect with a pencil skirt for date night. You could also wear them over thick leggings with a sweater dress.
The Zara boots have a more subtle OTK, but if you want to go all the way with the style, these suede boots from Rock & Republic are it. Prefer a flat boot? These 2 Lips boots from DSW are stylish and casual. I also like these sleek Chinese Laundry boots that come in charcoal or nutmeg.
Prefer to do your shopping in person? Stores like Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx and Last Call are starting to receive their end-of-season wares. So grab a girlfriend, check the store’s website for promotions, and head to the outlets for the best deals.
Sigh. I love my riding boots but it costs around $20 to get those chunky heels replaced, and they need replacing three times a season, so they aren’t very cost effective. 🙁
No Ciao Bella riding boots?! I keep going to buy them and then chicken out because I’m broke (AmeriCorps!). 🙁
How do you find they fit?
The stock was a bit limited when I looked, so I didn’t put them up. But I’m wearing mine right now!
Belle,
How do you protect your leather boots from the water, slush, and salt on the sidewalk now? My last pair has horrible white salt lines all over it that I was never able to scrub out. Thanks!
