Belle’s Post-Holiday Sales Guide

Dec 30, 2013

Now that the Christmas holiday is over, the stores are discounting their wares for a quick sale.  It’s a great time to pick up a few pieces to finish up the season and wear next year.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Reiss is having a fabulous sale on their tailored, British wares.  There is excellent size availability in the dresses, but you have search a bit through the separates.  And don’t miss the bags and shoes.

Belle’s Picks: Angel Half-Sleeve Dress ($170) // Sage Handheld Croc-embossed Bag ($275) // Lluella Stripe Chunky-Knit Sweater ($150)

***

Club Monaco is offering an additional 40%-off sale items with code WINTER40.  Search by size for the best results.

Belle’s Picks: Rebecca Striped Tee with Scoopback ($59) // Cecile Striped Cashmere Wrap ($159) // Briar Printed Silk Top ($89)

***

Piperlime is having their end-of-winter sale.  Their sales always offer a great mix of pricey designer pieces and inexpensive items.  You can also pick up shoes, bags and jewelry to brighten up your existing wardrobe.  But as with all Piperlime sales, there are limited sizes in each piece.

Belle’s Picks: Chinese Laundry Flash OTK Boots ($109) // Tinley Road Boucle Coat with Faux-Leather Sleeve ($85) // Kate Spade Catherine Street Pippa ($318)

 ***

Bloomingdale’s is having an after-Christmas clearance sale on their winter items and a few left over from the summer/fall.  Much like Piperlime, sizes are limited for individual pieces, but with a good selection of plus-size and petite options, there’s something for everyone.

Belle’s Picks: Michael Kors Flat Continental Wallet ($104) // Theory Stripe Cashmere Tunic Sweater ($171) // Rachel Roy Striped Dress ($265) // Velvet Drape Melange Top ($58)

***

If you plan to do some post-holiday online shopping, don’t forget to maximize your savings with Ebates.  Connect to retail sites through their website and get cash back.  If you use it consistently, you get a nice check at the end of each quarter, though you do have to make sure they issue your credit consistently.  It’s a little bit of a hassle, but not enough to discourage me from using the service.

Saw It On Social: Rooted

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
