BPGP: Yes To Blueberries Facial Wipes

Jul 12, 2011

I love Josie Maran Argan Oil Wipes.  They’re natural, paraben-free and they don’t strip your skin.  But $12 for facial wipes is a bit more than I feel comfortable spending.

Luckily, I found Say Yes to Blurberries Age Refresh Towelettes (Amazon, $7).

Finding a facial towelette for combination skin is difficult. The ones that really work strip skin of its moisture.  The ones that moisturize only make the oil worse.  Somehow these towelettes manage to achieve a balance between the two.

With the antioxidants from the blueberries, the wipes have mild anti-aging properties.  The coconut keeps them from being harsh.  And the essential citrus extracts are exfoliating and brightening.

Seriously, the first time that I used these wipes, I noticed the difference immediately.

Also, when you open the zip pack, the first thing you notice is the lovely, fresh scent.  With a hint of lemon and grapefruit, the product even smells refreshing.

Unlike the Say Yes to Cucumber facial towelettes (which I hated), this product lives up to expectations.  It cleanses without drying.  Moisturizes without causing acne.  And (hopefully) provide some light anti-aging benefits.

I've been eyeing this brand for awhile now because I've heard some good things about the Yes to Carrots products, but I'm not sure if it's right for my skin. I imagine that the different fruits and veggies have different properties, yes? What did you not like about the cucumber wipes (I tried searching for another review of them, but no dice)?

I hated the cucumber wipes. They couldn't remove anything. Eye liner? Powerless. Mascara? Forget about it. even my regular foundation was a challenge for them. And they were a bit greasy to the touch.

These are better, I still have to swap my eyes with a bit of eye makeup remover, but it's a lot better. And no grease.

I have been thinking about trying these so I may just have to pick these up! Right now I am using old school Pond's cold cream to take my make up off and it's alright, but I am still left with a bit of racoon eyes in the morning.

I am a big fan of the Yes to Blueberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum. I use it at night under Clinique's YouthSurge Night cream and I really love it. It smells fantastic and I think it adds a little boost to my normal routine. I

They might not be all-natural, but I have combination skin and I swear by the Boots No7 4-in-1 wipes. They claim to remove makeup, cleanse, tone and moisturize. They get every ounce of makeup off, even my waterproof mascara, and moisturize enough to keep my face hydrated without overdoing it in the T-Zone. Cheap too (god bless Target)!

The Beauty Edit: Neck Creams

Nora Ephron was right: I feel bad about my neck. As I move through my forties, the creases have turned into chasms. The skin sags like a pair of sweatpants with aging elastic. It’s not great. But it’s just a natural part of getting older. Over the past year, it feels like I’ve tried every […]
