Jun 7, 2023

Rent the Runway is an important part of the fashion ecosystem.  Because in a world of work conferences, weddings, fancy cocktail parties, and family events, we need a place to rent the dress we might just wear once.  Or maybe you want to rent a few fresh pieces to help your wardrobe go further.  But what happens to all those dresses when the RTR stock turns over?

The answer is: They make their way to Amazon.

Amazon is now selling Rent the Runway’s pre-loved items.  This Victoria Beckham dress is a calming sage is perfect for work or a wedding, and it’s just $80.  This Toccin popover sheath with chic details is perfect for the office.  And this Tory Burch dress is a fun take on a work frock.

The site is also selling pieces from RTR’s other wares, particularly their sweater collection, including this puff sleeved number from Saylor. And their RTR Collective line features designer-made pieces like this Peter Som floral dress and this chic Derek Lam tweed jacket.

Plus, with Amazon’s 7-day free try on program, you can order it, try it on, and then ship it back in 7 days if it doesn’t work for you without being charged a dime.

But again, how awesome is this dress?  And how is it only $80?!

Oh my, that sage dress! The reviews are not great, but I would be willing to try it for that price! But does anybody understand whether Amazon is using VB’s original UK sizing, or translated it to US sizing?

A little late to the party. This is AMAZING! But– is it just me or is there no filtering option by size? I don’t need to see the designer duds that are not available in my size and, thus, still out of reach 🙁
