The Range: Affordable Vacation Attire for Summer

Apr 4, 2023

I am dreaming of poolside cocktails and sunny days, which means that we we’ve reached the last month of Montana’s legislative session. I’m looking forward to getting a break from the sprint that is governing an entire state in just 100 days, every other year.  Here are some affordable vacation pieces — from dresses swimwear — to keep the dreamy poolside vibe going.

This Brielle Halter Dress ($39) is perfect for breezy dinners.  Comes in several colors.

Looking a cool one-piece? This & Other Stories option ($89) is it.

These TKEES strappy sandals ($85) are the flip flop alternative you need.

This Old Navy Crochet Cover Up ($55) comes in tall, petite, and plus so no one misses out.

This H&M basic bikini ($20) has a little push-up in the top for those who want a bit of lift.

I love the wide band on this Madewell Riviera Hat ($98). And to protect it while traveling, I picked up a hat clip.

I bought the Brielle Halter Dress and it was beautiful. The color was vibrant and the material was so comfortable. Unfortunately, the dress is meant for women with a smaller bust. I am a 34C and was not covered – hello side boob! Unfortunately, because of how the dress is cut, you cannot wear a bra. So there was no way for me to wear this.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
