It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence never to practice either of them. // Mark Twain

An Important Read. The conundrum of why female breadwinners often end up doing more housework than stay-at-homes. (Or as one article put it: Is housework really about tidying up, or is it about maintaining gender roles?)
Even as “COVID ends” for much of the world, I still feel this dark lining on the silver cloud. So I am still actively clinging to anything that brings me joy.
Brunch with Babs brings me joy. It’s like watching your slightly loud, super fun grandma make food on Sunday morning. It doesn’t feel pretentious or difficult. And it doesn’t matter whether she’s making a funfetti pancakes or Italian food, I just love watching her do something she loves.
And you will too. She also has a cookbook.

I am also completely charmed by Babs!
