With so much going on, it’s easy to forget what day it is. So consider this fair warning that Sunday is Mother’s Day. And if you’re in need of a quick gift, here are six suggestions.
One. Brinker & Eliza Pearl Earrings. There are so many lovely pearl jewelry pieces on the market right now. And these bow-studded drops are a lovely piece. I also like this modern Gorjana pearl pendant and this delicate Shashi pearl slide-bracelet. For something really unique, try this Lele Sadoughi Jelly Bean Bracelet.
Two. Libro.fm Audiobooks. Libro.fm allows you to purchase audiobooks through local bookseller to support community businesses while enjoying new titles. You can choose from different payment methods — monthly, pay as you go, etc. — and listen through the app.
Three. Vitruvi Stone Diffuser. This gorgeous ceramic diffuser looks beautiful and makes your room smell delightful. My favorite scent is the sweet orange mixed with the deeper bergamot scent. It really energizes me and helps me focus. For a less expensive diffuser that is also beautiful, this Breathe Essential diffuser caught my eye.
Four. Gucci Rouge a Levres Lipstick. For a little bit of luxury, this Gucci lipstick has rich, matte color. It is also beautifully packaged. If your Mom prefers a sheer lip balm, this Gucci balm in Penelope Plum is lovely.
Five. Minted Custom Print. Moms love beautiful gifts with a hint of sentimentality and nostalgia. This Minted Custom Home Print is a lovely option for remembering your childhood home or any special place. You can also buy this modern silhouette art or have one of your childhood drawings turned into a custom piece. It’s a nice way to give a gift with a bit of meaning.
Six. Drybar Double Shot Blow Dryer Brush. With weekly blowouts on pause for the forseeable future, tools to make getting that salon look easier are a great gift. This blow-dryer brush gives you a smooth, perfectly coiffed look with minimal effort. For a drugstore dupe, several bloggers rave about the Revlon One-Step.

Great ideas! If you’re looking for less traditional pearl options, check out The Maris Pearl Company, which is female led and donates a portion of their profits to Aegean Rebreath (an ocean conversation org in Greece). I have the Archer set and get compliments every time I wear them!
Re: drybar blow dryer brush— the revlon brush is, you’re right, an exact dupe having tried both. Save the money and order mom the revlon version!
I love my Drybar blow dryer. Can anyone tell me how the double shot compares to the regular blow dryer?
So I have long thick wavy frizzy hair and I can’t completely use it in lieu of a blow dryer because of the weight and texture of my hair. I rough dry first with my blow dryer then I do the finish dry of the smoothing and straightening via the double shot while my hair is damp (in my case now, I use the Revlon brush bc it’s the same.) Protip: even with my thick long hair I use it on the low setting because it gets HOT. And yes it really does work—you just have to get the hang of how to use it vs the traditional dryer and regular brush option.
That’s really helpful, thanks!
I just bought the double-shot and love it. I have fine hair (but a lot of it) that goes down to shoulder blades. Normal blow drying takes me about 30 minutes, then I have to use a straightener or curling iron to finish. With the double shot,I start with towel-dried hair and it takes about 20 minutes to get my hair to 90% of what I could do with blow dryer + heat tools. Plus my arms hurts less and it takes less coordination than wielding a round brush and dryer. I love it.
I got my mom a Book of the Month subscription! So in the same vein as libra.fm. It’s nice to have paper books around even when the libraries are closed.
Can anyone recommend a dupe for the lipstick? The colour is stunning but the price tag is too much for my budget.
