If you aren’t fired with enthusiasm, you will be fired with enthusiasm. — Vince Lombardi

Drunk. Always have three beverages.

Buy It, Now. This Halogen wrap midi dress has a breezy femininity to it that I cannot get enough of.  Also available in plus.

Equity. To achieve true power, women need to start talking frankly about money.

Dried. Have long hair (or extensions)? You need this flex brush; faster drying, fewer tangles.

Starry Eyed. Astrology doesn’t have to be real to be helpful.

Styled. I can’t wait to wear this OTK boot under pleated midi skirts. (My legs are going to be so warm.)

Earned. Advice for when “making a good salary” messes with your priorities.

Sold. 40% off at Old Navy.  This water resistant trench and “desk chair cardi” are both good choices.

Communed. I was fascinated by this NYT article about Womyn’s Lands.

Ooooh. Forget practicality, this Topshop bag is sublime.

Questioned.  How to conduct a job interview.

Pocketed. This Lark & Ro dress arrived on a Friday and was worn 3x in one week.

Early Riser. The trailer for The Morning Show looks really good.

This blog is essentially a collection of pieces and styles that catch my eye.  And this washable (yes, washable) silk top from Everlane definitely drew my gaze.  It comes in four great colors, and sizes 00-16.

Given the shortness of the style, on long-torso’ed women, you should go for a high waist pant or skirt. I like this high waist pleated skirt from Express.

Thank you for the NYT and Cut articles, though I am again astounded at the stupidity in the comment sections… just… mind-boggling. Homophobia and sexism runs rampant, and a ton of the responses to The Cut article about excess money were just “have kids”?!

Obviously this blog is on a much smaller scale, but with all that nonsense I appreciate your readers/commenters more and more, haha.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
