Leopard pumps go with nothing, consequently they go with everything (except pastels, I’ve never seen that work.).  So if you want to buy a chic, versatile pump for fall, make leopard your signature.

For the Office. Leopard is like a license to wear color.  Most people think you can only wear it with neutrals, but a pop of color brings out leopard’s full potential.  But this is just one colorful outfit that you could pair with the leopard pumps.  You could also look for a red sheath dress, a cobalt skirt, an emerald blouse with a black pencil.  They would also look smashing with this eggplant dress from Land’s End.

Prefer a neutral?  How about a camel skirt from Halogen or a charcoal grey panel dress from Catharine Malandrino?

This outfit–a mix of ivory and bright orange–would be perfect for fall or late summer because it’s bright without being overpowering.  If you need an ivory cardigan for less, I found this one at Modcloth.  (I chose a v-neck because I’m a big fan of complementary necklines.)  Plus size ladies can try this Pendleton one, petites should check out this longer cardigan from Gap.

To complete the look, I added pearl studs (next to ivory separates, they give the face a candlelit quality).  I also opted for a simple circle ring (good price!) and a tan bag to coordinate with the tan color in the shoes.  If you don’t have a tan satchel, you could carry black or grey.

For the hair, I think an updo could look a bit school marm, so I would wear it down and wavy (weather permitting).  For the makeup, I would go with a more neutral face: a rose blush, a taupe eyeshadow, a matte rose lip.

For Dinner. Nothing looks better with leopard than a little black dress.  This sheath from Reiss is incredibly versatile.  You can wear it to dinner, to the office or to an after-work cocktail event.  And the hint of a sleeve makes it an easier piece to wear than a sleeveless sheath.

Looking for a lower price item?  Try this Anne Klein sheath or this Bailey 44 piece with light ruching.  Plus size ladies might like this Calvin Klein ponte dress, and petites should look at this tropical wool dress from Ann Taylor.

I kept the accessories minimal and chic.  I love these long drop earrings, they’re a bit 70s glam.  I also chose this simple cuff with a black stone.  And I chose this Sophie Hulme knock-off clutch to complete the look.

For the hair, I would pull it up into a low, twisted up do with a bit of curl in it.  For the makeup, I would play up my lips with some MAC Ruby Woo lipstick and matching red nails.

The Find: A Versatile Sweater Jacket

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.
