The Range: Colored Suits for a Return to Work

Apr 13, 2022

Going back to the office, many of us who were once required to wear professional attire have been moved to business casual dress codes.  But not all of us.  And for those of us who are still in suits, it’s time to consider colors besides black, navy and grey.  Here are a few that caught my eye.

Light Lilac from MM LaFleur (full suit)

Mustard Blazer from L’Agence (blazer)

*More affordable yellow blazer option from Banana Republic.

Dusty Willow Green from Ann Taylor (full suit)

Pink Blazer from Reiss

*More affordable pink blazer from Gibsonlook.

Shamrock Green Plus-size Suit from Eloquii

Raspberry Double Breasted Suit from Mango

Thanks for sharing this. I’m still wearing business formal but now I’ve got a green suit!! (And Ann Taylor one)

  3. JIll says:

Love these bright colors! Would you consider doing a post on ideas for wearing bright suit separates for a casual/WFH office? Like…do I just throw a bright green blazer over a white tee and jeans?

    • Allison says:

Yes, this! I keep trying to find a cute and colorful blazer (not boyfriend, not double-breasted) that doesn’t look like I only bought half of a suit! We can wear jeans some days in the office but I also wear skinny pants or trousers some days.

    • Niki says:

Yes! I do this a lot.

I feel personally victimized by the price of that absolutely perfect L’Agence blazer.

I bought that Dusty Willow set from AT (blazer, skirt and pants) and it’s gorgeous and super soft in person. Highly recommend.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
