The Find: A Tunic-Length Sweatshirt

Mar 3, 2021

I’m always on the lookout for tunic-length sweatshirts and tops to wear with leggings.  The longer lengths are great for layering.  So this side-split top from Amazon is perfect for wearing around the house, over gym clothes, or to run errands.

This Levaca Sweatshirt comes in 44 colors and patterns.  A few of them are truly hideous, but the neutral options should fit seamlessly into any wardrobe.

The side slit keeps the sweatshirt from being bulky.  The fit is a little bit relaxed, but not oversized.  And the material isn’t sheer, so you don’t need a top underneath.

Levaca also has a selection of tunic length tops to choose from.  All of them cost <$30.  And sizing appears to run 0-20.

Do you find that the sizing on these runs similar to Daily Ritual and other Amazon brands? Still trying to find the sweet spot between a relaxed fit and looking sloppy.

  2. CLSDCVA says:

This looks exactly like the Daily Ritual sweatshirt – is it the same thing? Or anyone know how it differs? I was thinking about getting another DR split side sweatshirt since I really like the one I have, but figured I’d consider another style, but curious as to how this is different.

    • Belle says:

These are the big differences: The side slits are more narrow, so you don’t have to wear a shirt under it. It’s a hair longer.

I like the look, but is there a petite option?

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
