Shell Top Dress ($81)

When it comes to mid-price clothing, ASOS is my favorite shop on the web.  There’s a wide selection of fashion forward pieces in affordable and more expensive versions.  They are also one of the few retailers that offer robust petite, tall, plus-size, and maternity sections.

For me the best things at ASOS are dresses and shoes.  This bold dress with a shell top is unique.  I’m obsessed with this pale pink, v-neck dress.  And this structured drape dress in a stormy grey is really cool.

Looking for cocktail dresses?  I love the ethereal look of this strapless dress in pale pink.  This white and black one-shoulder dress is really fun.

Need shoes?  These fantastic high-heeled red sandals are selling out quick.  These silver-foil heels are definitely on my wish list.  And these beige, high-heeled cage sandals are very cool.

Prefer flats?  These cognac, ankle-strap sandals are a nice choice for casual wear.  These pointed-toe beige flats are a great basic.  And if you need a pair of flats for evening or cocktail wear, these sparkly Oasis flats are a cute option.

I have found their online return process to be a nightmare — incredibly slow, not getting refunds unless/until you harangue them. And I’ve seen others complain about the same thing. Am I just unlucky?

I haven’t experienced anything out of the ordinary. It’s slower now that I live out West, but no slower than anyone else.

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
