If, like me, you spent your formative years giving tours of the U.S. Capitol Building to constituents, you will no doubt recognize the Columbus Doors. 17ft high and weighing in at 10 tons, the doors depict scenes from the life of explorer Christopher Columbus. I would prefer not to glorify the man, but since many of you were given today off of work in his name (not me), I decided to take the day off from blogging.
If, like me, you’re stuck in the office, trying to stamp out the seething jealousy you fill towards those chilling at home today, I apologize. Let me introduce you to one of new favorite websites, The Hairpin. Their in depth coverage of Old Hollywood scandals is just too good too miss.
