Happy Hour: An Easy Dress and an Easy Cocktail

3

One of the biggest complaints about the Happy Hour posts is that some of the recipes are laborious.  (What do you mean you don’t have the time to make a delicate Earl Grey infusion with organic, fair trade tea purchased at a specialty market in London just so you can pour vodka in it?)  So today’s post has just four ingredients, all of which can be purchased at your local grocery store and you are not required to juice, muddle or vigorously shake a damn thing?

Today’s cocktail is not only simple, it’s also delicious and cheap.  And it’s perfect for a summer barbecue, lazy Sundays by the pool or just chilling on the couch enjoying your air-conditioning.

They’re called Cherry Beer-Ritas and I wish I could shake the hand of The Blond Cook, because they’re the kind of easy cocktail that’s perfect for summer days.  Plus, I support any drink recipe that gives me an excuse to buy Maraschino cherries.

Edith Dress (Banana Republic, $110)

I purchased this fun, bright dress for a wedding rehearsal dinner.  It is very flattering on, and would be good for a Casual Friday or August recess.  Also, if you buy this dress at $110 and add this stunning cobalt bracelet for $29, you can get 25% off an order over $125 and select free shipping (code BR25OFF).

This brings the price of the dress down to $82 and the bracelet down to $22, so you get the dress, the bracelet and the tax for the cost of the original dress.  AND if you sign up for eBates, you’ll earn 2% cash back on your purchase.

That’s some savvy shopping, right there.  Have a fun, safe weekend! xoxo, Belle
